UFC president Dana White revealed that Luke Rockhold will defend his middleweight title against former champion Chris Weidman at UFC 199 in June, during an interview with FOX Sports 1's Katie Nolan.
Rockhold defeated Weidman last December at UFC 194 via a fourth-round TKO to become UFC middleweight champion.
Entering UFC 194, Weidman carried a perfect 13-0 record into the bout.
In 2013, Weidman defeated Anderson Silva twice, the first of which was considered one of the great upsets in the sport's history.
White did not confirm a precise date, but a Rockhold-Weidman rematch will certainly hold the MMA community's attention.
