TUF 19 winner Eddie Gordon to be released by UFC

"The Ultimate Fighter 19" winner Eddie Gordon is set to receive his walking papers from the UFC.

Gordon made the announcement on his Facebook page:

Just got news from the @ufc I will be released just want to thank my friends family fans @danawhite and everyone at Ufc for great8 opportunities 170lb division is safe for now I'll be back no doubt about it looking forward to the next chapter of this best seller ‪#‎teamtruck‬

After claiming the TUF 19 title with an impressive knockout victory over Dhiego Lima in the show's finale in July of last year, Gordon's career completely hit the skids, losing consecutive bouts to Josh Samman, Chris Dempsey, and Antonio Carlos Jr.

At 32 years of age, it wouldn't be shocking to see Gordon, who works with the famed Serra-Longo Fight Team, work his way back into the UFC with a few wins on the smaller circuit.
