Barboza tops Felder in violent spinfest at UFC on FOX 16
For 15 minutes, Paul Felder and Edson Barboza put each other through the spin cycle at UFC on FOX 16, hurling torrents of strikes back and forth, most of them of the spinning variety.
One strike, a kick directly to Felder's groin, stood apart from the rest.
Barboza, sporting a gruesomely swollen eye, tried to systematically rip Felder apart with devastating leg and body kicks, while Felder, undaunted by the violence being inflicted upon him, kept coming forward with crisp, hard combinations of his own.
It was a wonderful display of technical striking on both sides, but it was Barboza's scintillating, tenderizing switch kicks to Felder's legs and body that carried the Brazilian to a unanimous decision victory.
