An unknown injury has forced Sean Spencer out of his bout with Mike Pyle at UFC 187, according to a report by MMAjunkie.com.
Spencer, who sports a 3-3 record in the Octagon, was no doubt hoping to bounce back from his controversial loss to Cathal Pendred at UFC Fight Night 59 in January. Pendred emerged victorious via unanimous decision despite Spencer winning handily according to essentially everyone in MMA media.
A veteran of the sport, Pyle has alternated wins and losses since 2013, emerging victorious against Rick Story and TJ Waldburger, while falling short against Matt Brown and Jordan Mein.
UFC 187 takes place on May 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and features a light heavyweight title clash between Jon Jones and Anthony Johnson as the main event.
