After vehemently denying the usage of performance-enhancing drugs, former UFC middleweight kingpin Anderson Silva will reportedly admit to using PEDs leading up to his UFC 183 bout with Nick Diaz.
According to a report from UOL esporte, a Brazilian outlet, and later posted on the UFC's official website, Silva is set to tell the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) that he used banned substances to speed up the recovery of a severely broken leg he suffered against Chris Weidman at UFC 168 in December of 2013.
Silva's lawyers will reportedly argue that the amount of PEDs in their client's system was minimal, and wouldn't have given him an advantage over Diaz during their bout.
The NAC has already handed the MMA legend a temporary suspension pending an upcoming hearing.
