Mayweather on domestic violence: 'Only God can judge me'

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is defending his history of domestic violence ahead of his next bout.

The undefeated welterweight boxing champion told CNN's Rachel Nichols he won't be held accountable despite pleading guilty in 2011 to a reduced battery domestic violence charge against Josie Harris, the mother of his children.

"Everything has been allegations. Nothing has been proven. So, that's life," said Mayweather in an interview that aired Friday.

"Once again, no pictures. Just heresy and allegations and I signed a plea bargain. Once again, not true."

Mayweather is currently facing a lawsuit by former girlfriend Shantel Jackson that includes allegations of assault and battery.

"Everybody's entitled to their own opinion," he said. "You know, when it's all said and done only God can judge me."

The interview comes one day after Mayweather apologized for suggesting the NFL should have not indefinitely suspended Ray Rice after the Baltimore Ravens running back was caught on video assaulting his wife.

Mayweather defends his title in a rematch against Marcos Maidana on Saturday.
