VIDEO: Jon Jones, Ronda Rousey celebrate with new WWE champion Brock Lesnar
Remember when Jon Jones destroyed Matt Hamill so badly he was hit with the only loss on his record, a disqualification for an illegal elbow well after the fight should have been stopped?
Well, that beating had nothing on the one that former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar laid on John Cena at WWE's SummerSlam event on Sunday. The Beast Incarnate wiped the floor with Cena, hitting him with 16 German suplexes en route to winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
Jones happened to be in the house at Staples Center and made his way backstage after the event to celebrate with his brother in gold:
And here we thought Jones would be a Bo Dallas fan, considering they have the exact same gimmick.
Also taking in SummerSlam was Ronda Rousey and her Four Horsewomen group. Rousey's team wore shirts indicating they are each "A Paul Heyman Girl," which shows support for Lesnar, too, as the new champ is managed by Heyman. Here's the whole crew:
The idea of Rousey and her posse eventually showing up in WWE may rub some mixed martial arts purists wrong, but it's a pretty fervent dream in the wrestling community.
