With the specter of performance enhancing drugs looming large over the UFC in the wake of the recent Chael Sonnen debacle, and the online PED accusation war being waged between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes, outspoken featherweight Conor McGregor isn't allowing himself to get caught up in the hoopla.
“I don’t really care about that stupid s–t,” McGregor told MMAjunkie about PED usage in MMA. “I’m just doing my thing. I’m just performing and getting better. I don’t care what anyone else does.”
The 26-year-old Irishman, who is set to face Diego Brandao in Dublin, Ireland on July 19, and isn't concerned with potential opponents using performance enhancing drugs, believing his skill will ultimately allow him to emerge victorious.
“Take whatever you want,” McGregor said. “I’m still going to whoop your a--.”
