Anderson Silva versus Nick Diaz? Yes, please.
Ed Soares, manager of the former UFC middleweight champion, appeared on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani on Monday and said his client is eyeing a comeback at the beginning of 2015 and wouldn't mind doing so against Stockton, California's own Nick Diaz.
"There's Michael Bisping, there's Cung Le. Even Nick Diaz," Soares said on the MMA Hour. "Nick Diaz has said he's wanted to fight him before. Nick Diaz wanted to box Roy Jones Jr. You could argue that Nick Diaz and Anderson probably have some of the best boxing in MMA, so we'll see what happens. Like we all know, so many things can change, the landscape of the sport can change so much in such a short amount of time."
Diaz has said he would only return to the UFC for a big payday in a big fight scenario and you have to believe a fight between him and Silva would likely attract a ton of pay-per-view interest.
Fingers crossed.
