It looks like the UFC's favorite math teacher won't be stepping into the Octagon anytime soon.

Rich Franklin told Yahoo Sports on Wednesday that he accepted the vice president position with Asia's largest MMA organization, Singapore-based promotion ONE FC.

Reports surfaced last month that ONE FC had offered Franklin the position and the 39-year-old is now on board.

“The offer was definitely something that appealed to me and I like the people at ONE FC, so it was a no-brainer decision," Franklin said. "There is no convincing needed for me to join the team. I’m a ONE FC member and I’m here this week to discuss how I can optimize my expertise and experience."

While not officially retired, Franklin's last UFC appearance came in November 2012 when he was knocked out in just over two minutes by Cung Le in Macau, China.

In April, Dana White was asked about Franklin taking the job with ONE FC during the UFC on FOX 11 post-fight scrum, and his response was surprisingly positive given his feelings towards former fighters like Randy Couture and Tito Ortiz doing business with Bellator.

"He's still under contract to fight, if he ever wanted to fight," White said. "You know, we have a good relationship with Rich. Rich got offered a really good opportunity to go work with those guys and I'm happy for him."
