Anderson Silva's rapid recovery: grappling just two months after gruesome leg break
Just two months after breaking his leg in his UFC 168 loss to Chris Weidman, Anderson Silva is back in the gym to train. "The Spider" posted a training video on his Instagram account Saturday.
Normally an injury like the one suffered by Silva — a broken left tibia and fibula — takes anywhere from three to six months to heal. But the rapid nature of his recovery makes his goal of returning in 2014 look more and more likely, and has his boss feeling optimistic.
You can not believe the training @SpiderAnderson is doing already! If I didn't c it I wouldn't believe it!!!
