Former light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka mounted a wild comeback to stop Khalil Rountree Jr. at UFC 320.

Prochazka knocked out Rountree at the 3:04 mark of the third round Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Prochazka was losing 20-18 on all three judges' scorecards entering the third round.

Rountree performed well in the first two rounds, picking Prochazka apart with hard punches and kicks. But Prochazka upped his aggression in the third and turned it into a Round of the Year candidate, swinging wild punches and eventually catching Rountree with a devastating left hook that put the former title challenger out cold.

With the victory, Prochazka is now riding a two-fight winning streak after knocking out former champion Jamahal Hill at UFC 311 in January. The 32-year-old Czech fighter could be in line for a title shot next, though Carlos Ulberg - who beat Dominick Reyes at UFC Perth last weekend - is also in contention.

Rountree was coming off a dominant win over Hill at UFC Baku in June. The 35-year-old is 1-2 in his last three Octagon appearances.
