Former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira will face Rafael Fiziev in the main event of UFC Rio de Janeiro on Oct. 11, the promotion announced Thursday.

Oliveira is returning to action less than four months after he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Ilia Topuria in a vacant title fight at UFC 317. The 35-year-old holds a 1-2 record in his last three Octagon appearances.

Oliveira will compete in his home country of Brazil for the first time since March 2020. "Do Bronx" is ranked No. 4 in the 155-pound division.

Fiziev returned to the win column at UFC Baku in June, earning a unanimous decision over Ignacio Bahamondes. The 32-year-old Azerbaijani fighter previously lost three in a row to Justin Gaethje (twice) and Mateusz Gamrot. Fiziev is 7-4 in the promotion overall and is ranked 10th in the weight class.
