Gamrot to return vs. Klein at May 31 UFC event
Lightweight contender Mateusz Gamrot will put his top-10 ranking on the line against the surging Ludovit Klein at UFC Fight Night on May 31, the promotion announced Thursday.
The event is scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Gamrot, the No. 7-ranked fighter at 155 pounds, is coming off a split-decision loss to Dan Hooker at UFC 305 in August. Before that, the 34-year-old Pole had won three in a row, including a stoppage of Rafael Fiziev and a decision over former champion Rafael dos Anjos.
Klein will get the biggest test of his career on the heels of a seven-fight unbeaten streak that dates back to March 2022. The 30-year-old Slovak last defeated Roosevelt Roberts by unanimous decision in September. Klein made his UFC debut in 2020 and holds a 7-2-1 record in the promotion.
A women's flyweight bout between Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber is slated to headline the event.
