Mike Perry vs. Thiago Alves to headline BKFC event on April 27
A bare knuckle matchup between former UFC fighters Mike Perry and Thiago Alves will headline BKFC: KnuckleMania 4 on April 27 in Los Angeles, BKFC president Dave Feldman announced Wednesday on "The MMA Hour."
A rescheduled heavyweight bout between Ben Rothwell and Todd Duffee will serve as the co-main event.
Perry is riding a four-fight winning streak under the BKFC banner and has recently emerged as the biggest star in the promotion. "Platinum" went 2-0 last year, earning stoppage victories over former UFC champions Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold. Perry captured the "King of Violence" title by beating Alvarez in December.
Alves will be making his first bare knuckle appearance in almost three years. "Pitbull" won the BKFC middleweight title in 2021 but was stripped of the belt the following year when his contract expired. Alves is 2-0 in BKFC since making his debut in 2020.
KnuckleMania 4 will be the first BKFC event in California. The state recently voted to approve sanctioning for bare knuckle fighting.
