Moicano-Dober set for Feb. 3 UFC event

A battle of top-15 lightweights will take place at UFC Fight Night on Feb. 3, as Renato Moicano meets Drew Dober at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

Moicano announced the news Saturday in a video on his YouTube channel. A source also confirmed the matchup to MMA Junkie's Matthew Wells and Mike Bohn.

Moicano will be returning to action for the first time since November 2022, when he submitted Brad Riddell in the first round at UFC 281 in New York. The Brazilian was scheduled to face Arman Tsarukyan in April but withdrew from the fight due to injury. Moicano, 34, is 3-1 in his last four Octagon appearances.

Dober is coming off a recent victory, as he knocked out Ricky Glenn in Round 1 at a Fight Night card in October. The 35-year-old has won four of his past five bouts.

A middleweight clash between Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov is scheduled to headline the Feb. 3 event.
