Dolidze to face Imavov in UFC's Feb. 3 main event
A middleweight bout between ranked contenders Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov will headline UFC Fight Night on Feb. 3, the promotion announced Wednesday.
The fight was initially targeted for Dec. 9 but didn't come to fruition due to visa issues, reports MMA Junkie's Nolan King.
Dolidze, the No. 7 middleweight, is looking to bounce back from a decision loss to former title challenger Marvin Vettori in March. The Georgia native had won four straight before that defeat, including a marquee victory over Jack Hermansson.
Dolidze was scheduled to return to action against Jared Cannonier at UFC Austin on Dec. 2, but Cannonier withdrew from the matchup in October after suffering a torn MCL.
Imavov, No. 12 in the division, is coming off a no-contest against Chris Curtis in June. The Frenchman's only other fight this year was a unanimous decision loss to current UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland. Imavov was booked against Ikram Aliskerov at UFC 294 on Oct. 21 but withdrew from the fight.
No location has been announced for the Feb. 3 event.
