Perry vs. Alvarez middleweight bout to headline BKFC 56
Mike Perry will take on Eddie Alvarez in a middleweight headliner at BKFC 56, president David Feldman said Wednesday, per MMA Fighting.
Perry, the No. 1 middleweight fighter in the promotion, brings a 3-0 bare-knuckle record to the fight. The 32-year-old's most recent victory came against former UFC champion Luke Rockhold on April 29. Perry landed 30 of 60 thrown punches in that bout.
"Platinum" was the backup fighter for the Logan Paul-Dillon Danis boxing match last Saturday.
Rockhold quit the fight against Perry after sustaining severe dental damage. Alvarez says he isn't planning on letting any teeth issues stop him:
Alvarez: “If you knock my teeth out, I’m gunna spit them back at you, I’m not Luke Rockhold…I don’t need them.”
