McGregor says he was hit by vehicle while on bicycle: 'I could've been dead'
Conor McGregor was struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle Friday, he said in a since-deleted Instagram post.
The former UFC two-division champion shared footage of the aftermath of the collision.
"Got a bang of a car just now from behind," McGregor wrote in the caption of the post. "A sun trap, the driver couldn't see me. Full speed straight thru me. Thank you, God, it wasn't my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life."
The Irishman sounded panicked and out of breath in the video, saying, "I could've been dead there, mate," and then adding, "Lucky to get away with my life, boys." The man who apparently hit McGregor could be heard in the background apologizing multiple times.

The driver of the vehicle appeared to give McGregor a ride home.
McGregor, 34, will likely return to the Octagon sometime this year after breaking his leg in a fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021 and then sitting out all of last year.
He was in the news earlier this week after a woman said he assaulted her on his yacht last summer in Ibiza. McGregor denied the allegations through his spokesperson.
