Conor McGregor said in a since-deleted tweet Friday that he intends to kill Tony Ferguson in the Octagon.

"Me and you are fighting one day, mate, and I'm gonna end your life in there full of it," McGregor wrote, according to MMA Junkie's Mike Bohn.

He added: "I already won all the belts and the money in this game. I just wanna kill one of yous rats in there now. It's the only thing left for me to do. And watch me do it. Only on (pay-per-view)."

McGregor's comments came in response to Ferguson, who earlier Friday accused the Irishman of using performance-enhancing drugs. Ferguson also called the former UFC two-division champion "fragile."

The two lightweights were on a collision course in 2017, with Ferguson becoming the interim champion while McGregor held the undisputed title. A matchup between the two never materialized, though, as McGregor was stripped of the 155-pound belt due to inactivity in 2018.

Ferguson and McGregor have both struggled to find success in the Octagon recently. McGregor is coming off back-to-back stoppage losses to Dustin Poirier earlier in 2021, while "El Cucuy" has dropped three in a row following an impressive winning streak that lasted from 2013-19.
