Former UFC champion Demetrious Johnson is set to face ONE Championship flyweight Muay Thai titleholder Rodtang Jitmuangnon in a mixed-rules fight at the ONE X event Dec. 5, CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced Wednesday on "The MMA Hour."

Johnson-Rodtang will be contested at 135 pounds and consist of four three-minute rounds. The first and third rounds will take place under Muay Thai rules, while the second and fourth will transition to mixed martial arts.

Johnson is considered one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time. "Mighty Mouse" left the UFC, where he holds the record for most consecutive title defenses, and signed with ONE Championship in 2018 following a split-decision loss to Henry Cejudo.

Johnson won his first three fights in the Asia-based promotion, capturing the ONE flyweight grand prix title in 2019 with a victory over Danny Kingad. But the 35-year-old suffered his first career stoppage defeat while challenging Adriano Moraes for the undisputed belt in April, losing by knockout in the second round.

Rodtang is one of the top fighters in Muay Thai, as he holds over 250 wins. The 24-year-old is undefeated in ONE Championship with 10 straight triumphs in the promotion.

The ONE X event will also feature a bantamweight title fight between champion Bibiano Fernandes and UFC veteran John Lineker, as well as a featherweight title clash pitting champion Thanh Le against grappling ace Garry Tonon.

ONE X will be the promotion's 10-year anniversary show.
