Fans witnessed one of the strangest finishes in recent memory Saturday night.

Edson Barboza finished Shane Burgos with a delayed knockout in the opening main-card bout at UFC 262 in Houston.

Barboza hit Burgos with a hard two-punch combination in the third round of the featherweight contest. Burgos appeared to be OK at first, but three seconds later, he stumbled backward and fell to his stomach.

Barboza said after the fight he wasn't sure what hurt Burgos.

Burgos was transported to a local hospital after the fight, according to UFC president Dana White. The fighter gave an update on his condition to MMA Fighting's Mike Heck, saying he is "all good."

"I remember everything," Burgos said. "It was just a weird feeling that shut my legs off slowly. I'm 100% safe, healthy, (and) coherent."

Barboza has several knockouts on his highlight reel, but none quite like his stoppage over Burgos. The Brazilian has now won two straight fights and is 2-1 as a featherweight.

Burgos, who was coming off a loss to Josh Emmett in a "Fight of the Year" candidate last summer, is now riding a two-fight skid.
