Lima to defend Bellator welterweight title vs. Amosov
Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima is scheduled to defend his belt against undefeated Yaroslav Amosov in the main event of Bellator 260 on June 11, the promotion announced Friday.
Lima is returning to the 170-pound division after falling short in his bid to become a two-division champion against middleweight titleholder Gegard Mousasi in October.
The 33-year-old hasn't defended the title during his current reign, which started in October 2019 with a win over Rory MacDonald. This is the third time Lima has been the Bellator welterweight champion.
Amosov holds an impressive 25-0 professional record and is 6-0 in Bellator. The 27-year-old is coming off a split-decision win over Logan Storley in November and has also defeated the likes of Ed Ruth, former UFC fighter Erick Silva, and David Rickels.
Bellator 260 will take place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
