A lightweight bout between Islam Makhachev and Rafael dos Anjos has been rescheduled for the main event of the Nov. 14 card in Las Vegas, the UFC announced Saturday.
Former champion Dos Anjos was slated to face Makhachev at UFC 254 on Oct. 24 but had to withdraw due to a positive COVID-19 test.
Makhachev is a rising lightweight contender and teammate of Khabib Nurmagomedov. He's riding a six-fight winning streak and owns a 7-1 Octagon record.
Dos Anjos will be competing at 155 pounds for the first time since 2016. His last eight bouts took place at welterweight. Dos Anjos is coming off a January loss to Michael Chiesa and is 1-4 in his past five outings.
