The Bellator featherweight title fight between Patricio "Pitbull" Freire and Pedro Carvalho has been rebooked for a Nov. 12 event, sources told MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz.

The card is reportedly expected to take place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. Bellator has staged all of its events at the venue since returning from its COVID-19 shutdown in July.

Freire-Carvalho will also serve as one of the quarterfinal matchups in Bellator's Featherweight Grand Prix. The bout was originally booked for March 13, but the entire event was canceled just hours before its scheduled start time due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The winner of the Nov. 12 title fight will face the winner of Emmanuel Sanchez-Daniel Weichel 2, which has yet to be scheduled. AJ McKee and Darrion Caldwell are expected to meet in the semifinals on the other side of the bracket.

Freire is coming off a successful title defense against Juan Archuleta in the opening round of the tournament last September.

Carvalho submitted UFC veteran Sam Sicilia earlier that month to punch his ticket to the quarterfinals.
