The "Sugar" show is set to continue in August.
Following his UFC 250 knockout victory over Eddie Wineland, Sean O'Malley will battle fellow bantamweight contender Marlon Vera at UFC 252, sources told MMA Fighting's Mick Heck and Damon Martin.
It's a short turnaround for O'Malley (12-0), who swiftly continued his undefeated run in June. After his two-year layoff due to multiple suspensions, the 25-year-old has picked up two victories in 2020.
Meanwhile, Vera (15-6-1) had his five-bout winning streak come to an end via a controversial unanimous decision loss to Song Yadong in May.
The two were originally scheduled to fight in July 2019 before O'Malley tested positive for ostarine.
UFC 252 is currently set to be the promotion's first pay-per-view card outside of Fight Island and will be headlined by the much-anticipated trilogy bout between Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier.
