UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones took to Twitter to denounce the actions of the Minneapolis police officer who pinned a black man to the ground by placing his knee on his neck.

George Floyd was already handcuffed and was heard repeatedly saying he couldn't breathe, but the officer kept his knee on the back of Floyd's neck. Floyd was later pronounced dead in hospital.

Jones wrote that the officer's use of a "blood choke," which cuts off blood flow to the brain, was murder.

The four officers involved in the incident were fired Tuesday.
