Thiago Santos wants to see Jon Jones stripped of the UFC light heavyweight title, and if that happens, the Brazilian thinks he should fight Dominick Reyes for the vacant belt.

Santos' suggestion comes in the wake of Jones' latest run-in with the law. Jones was arrested in Albuquerque, New Mexico, early Thursday morning for aggravated DWI and negligent use of a firearm.

The UFC released a statement regarding the arrest, but it's unclear as of now if anything will happen to Jones' status as an active fighter on the roster. The promotion took away his belt in 2015 after he was involved in a hit-and-run.

Santos, the No. 2 light heavyweight contender, challenged "Bones" for the title at UFC 239 last July. He was the first fighter to take Jones to a split decision, but the champ ultimately earned the nod from the judges.

Reyes, the No. 1 205-pound fighter, also took Jones the distance at UFC 247 in February. Jones won by unanimous decision, but many people scored the fight for "The Devastator." It was one of the more controversial results in Jones' long reign as champion.
