Cejudo amused at flyweight title bout weigh-ins: 'I piss excellence'

Former champion Henry Cejudo seemed amused upon learning that the UFC flyweight title bout scheduled for Saturday was semi-derailed by a failed weight cut.

Deiveson Figueiredo tipped the scales Friday in Norfolk, Va., at 127.5 pounds, 2.5 lbs over the limit. He'll still face Joseph Benavidez, but only his opponent will be eligible to win the belt.

"I am the greatest to ever live," Cejudo said in response to the development, according to ESPN's Ariel Helwani. "I piss excellence."

Cejudo became the flyweight champion in August 2018 after dethroning the legendary Demetrious Johnson. He defended the strap once, then moved up to bantamweight where he successfully challenged for the title.

Cejudo, the 2008 Olympic champion, is still the bantamweight titleholder. He began going by the moniker "Triple C" when he held the flyweight belt in addition to the other two championships.

The flyweight crown hasn't been contested since Cejudo defended it against T.J. Dillashaw in January 2019. Cejudo was forced to vacate the belt due to inactivity. He won't reclaim the championship if Figueiredo defeats Benavidez, UFC officials told Mike Bohn of MMAJunkie.
