McGregor praises Cerrone's grandmother: 'Phenomenal woman'
Conor McGregor stayed true to his promise that there would be "no bad blood" at UFC 246.
After defeating Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone by first-round TKO in just 40 seconds Saturday night in Las Vegas, McGregor shared an embrace with his opponent's grandmother, Jerry Cerrone.

McGregor was asked about his conversation with Jerry after the fight and spoke highly of both her and her grandson.
"She's just a phenomenal woman, that lady," McGregor said during his postfight press conference (starts at the 2:55 mark). "She's there from the first fight of the night until the final fight of the night. Even after the bout, came over and showed me respect and I showed her respect. It was great to finally meet her. You see her, she's a prevalent part of the game, isn't she? Donald's fought so much and that lady's there from the start of the night to the finish. What a lady, and what a man she's raising.
"Very honored to share the cage with Donald. Very proud. He's a good man and he's got good people behind him. Much respect."
Saturday's bout was McGregor's first time inside the Octagon since October 2018, when he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
