UFC on ESPN: Overeem vs. Rozenstruik takes place Saturday at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., where former heavyweight title challenger Alistair Overeem will look to extend his winning streak to three straight.
Overeem (45-17) heads into the bout off back-to-back stoppage victories over Sergei Pavlovich and Aleksei Oleinik. The 39-year-old hasn't won three fights in a row since May 2016.
Rozenstruik (9-0) boasts a 3-0 record in the Octagon, and his last two fights lasted a combined 38 seconds in total cage time. "Bigi Boy" will be competing in his fourth fight this year after making his promotional debut in February.
The co-main event features a pair of rising stars in the women's strawweight division as Cynthia Calvillo battles Marina Rodriguez.
Calvillo (8-1) has amassed a 5-1 record in the UFC, with her lone loss coming against Carla Esparza at UFC 219 in December 2017. The 32-year-old was scheduled to fight at UFC Sacramento in July before a broken foot forced her off the event. The San Jose native spent the bulk of her training camp at Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand and heads into this matchup on a two-fight win streak.
Rodriguez (12-0-1) replaces the injured Claudia Gadelha on short notice and will compete in her third fight this year. The Brazilian is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Tecia Torres at UFC Uruguay and is seeking her first stoppage victory in the Octagon.
Here's an updated look at the event.
