Hardy to replace dos Santos in UFC Moscow co-main event
Greg Hardy will replace Junior dos Santos and fight Alexander Volkov in the UFC Moscow co-main event Nov. 9, his agent told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.
Volkov versus dos Santos was previously set as the main event, but the promotion will move Zabit Magomedsharipov versus Calvin Kattar into that slot and make Hardy's bout with Volkov a three-round affair, Okamoto adds.
Dos Santos was forced to pull out of the fight after he was reportedly hospitalized for over a week with a serious bacterial infection in his leg.
Hardy picked up a victory over Ben Sosoli on Oct. 18 at UFC Boston, but the fight was later ruled a no-contest because Hardy used an inhaler between the second and third rounds.
The former NFL player's record remains at 2-1 (1 NC) in the UFC and 5-1 (1 NC) as a professional.
