Jones pleads no contest to disorderly conduct after strip club incident

Jon Jones on Tuesday pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge stemming from an April incident at a New Mexico strip club, according to court documents obtained by Marc Raimondi of ESPN.

The UFC light heavyweight champion took a plea deal and received a 90-day deferred sentence after he'd initially pleaded not guilty to a battery charge.

Jones, 32, was charged with battery in July after a waitress accused him of slapping her in the genital area and putting her in a chokehold while roughhousing. The woman claimed he continued touching her after she asked him to stop until he decided to leave. Jones and his camp later characterized the allegations as "malicious lies."

This was not Jones' first legal issue. He pleaded guilty to a felony hit-and-run charge in 2015 and pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in 2012.
