Joanna Jedrzejczyk is taking Colby Covington to task for insulting and failing to support fellow American Top Team teammate Dustin Poirier.

"You shouldn't shit in your gym," Jedrzejczyk told theScore. "What (Covington) has done, it's like pretty shady, you know? I really do not respect that. ... I really don't like it because we are all teammates."

Covington was criticized for picking against Poirier in his matchup with Khabib Nurmagomedov in their lightweight title unification bout at UFC 242 last month. After Poirier called Covington a "sellout" at the postfight press conference, the 31-year-old added more fuel to the fire in a recent interview.

"How does that make me a sellout?" Covington told MMAFighting's Damon Martin. "If anything, I bought in and he tapped out. I'm giving the people America's pick of the week. I don't want to let the people down."

While Jedrzejczyk believes her ATT teammates are a diverse group of fighters, the former UFC strawweight champion insisted that they should always support one another.

"It was really not nice because even if I really like Khabib ... I need to and I want to stick to my people and support them," Jedrzejczyk said. "I saw how hard Dustin Poirier was training before the fight. The gym is very big. ... We all are different, from different cultures, different countries, we all behave differently, we all have (a) different sense of humor. But the thing is you should support your teammates, it doesn't matter if you like them or not. We represent one team, we represent the same colors, so we should support each other as much as we can."

Jedrzejczyk will make her return to the strawweight division against Michelle Waterson in the main event of UFC Tampa on Oct. 12. Listen to the full interview with Jedrzejczyk below and subscribe to theScoreMMA Youtube channel here.
