Report: Hardy gets new opponent, spot at UFC Boston
Greg Hardy reportedly has a new opponent to fight and a new card to compete on.
The heavyweight will take on Ben Sosoli on Oct. 18 at UFC Boston instead of facing Jarjis Danho on Oct. 26 in Singapore, ESPN's Brett Okamoto reports. Danho apparently pulled out of the bout.
Hardy has won five of his first six professional mixed martial arts fights, with the only blemish on his record coming via disqualification for an illegal knee in his UFC debut.
Most recently, the former NFL pass-rusher knocked out Juan Adams in the first round of their July fight. It was Hardy's fourth stoppage win inside a minute.
Meanwhile, Sosoli boasts a 6-2 professional MMA record. He appeared on "Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series" in August, with his fight ending in a no-contest due to an accidental eye poke.
