White confirms Diaz-Masvial winner will receive BMF belt
Whoever earns the title of "Baddest Motherf-----" between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 will get the gold to prove it.
During a press conference on Thursday to promote the Nov. 2 clash in New York, UFC president Dana White confirmed the promotion is creating the BMF belt for the winner of the much-anticipated bout between the two fan-favorite fighters.
Diaz and Masvidal refused to engage in the kind of trash talk that dominated the buildup to their fights against Conor McGregor and Ben Askren, respectively.
However, Masvidal more than made up for it with his Tony Montana-inspired suit:
Who walks away as the BMF!? 🤬

The two welterweights said their mutual respect will continue after the fight, regardless of the outcome.
Question: Are you sharing a joint or a drink?
— Marc Raimondi (@marc_raimondi) September 19, 2019
Masvidal: A joint, preferably.
Diaz: Both, if I win.#UFC244
UFC 244 is set to go head-to-head against boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez's jump up to light heavyweight to face champion Sergey Kovalev.
Asked why fight fans should choose the Octagon over the squared circle, Diaz gave a characteristically succinct answer.
"We're fighting for the baddest motherf----- in the game belt. That's why," he said.
