Poirier weighing future after loss to Khabib
Dustin Poirier was overcome with emotion following his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov in their lightweight title bout at UFC 242 on Saturday.
Following his defeat by third-round submission, Poirier couldn't hide his disappointment both in the cage and in his post-fight news conference.
Later in the day, Poirier took to social media to share a message with his fans.

"Thank you guys for the support, it means a lot to me. If I choose to fight again, I'll be back strong. If not, I'll see what God has in store for me. Thank you," he said.
Poirier has amassed a career record of 25-6 and finally earned his shot to become the undisputed division champion. The 30-year-old will likely take some time before determining his next move after losing his interim title.
