UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn seems to have found himself in trouble outside the Octagon once again.

Videos obtained by TMZ appear to show the 40-year-old involved in two separate street fights during the same evening in Hawaii. One of the videos apparently shows him being knocked out by a punch.

The news comes months after Penn's alleged scuffle with a bouncer at a bar in Honolulu. Penn's estranged girlfriend was also granted a restraining order against the former two-division UFC champion in February following allegations of verbal, physical, and sexual abuse. Penn has denied those allegations.

Though Penn is winless in his last eight fights, UFC President Dana White has said he will fight again and has a verbal agreement to fight Nik Lentz at an undetermined date.

Penn's attorney issued a statement to Hawaiian news outlet KHON2 on Wednesday regarding the incident.

"After learning more about Tuesday evening's altercation between BJ Penn and an acquaintance, we feel strongly that we need to correct the misinformation about what transpired," read the statement.

"Upon meeting friends for a concert at the Lava Shack, words were exchanged between BJ and the acquaintance. From witness accounts, BJ tried multiple times to diffuse the situation, but was hit repeatedly and knocked to the ground, as seen on the video.

"When he got back up he was disoriented, yet realized how serious the situation and threat was and felt there was a need to defend himself. We are thankful that neither BJ nor the acquaintance were seriously injured."

The UFC has not provided a statement on the videos. Penn has not been arrested or charged, according to TMZ.
