The "Fast & Furious" franchise is getting a literal heavyweight addition.
UFC star Francis Ngannou has joined the cast of the blockbuster franchise's next installment in an unknown role, according to Deadline's Dino-Ray Ramos.
The yet-to-be-titled ninth "Fast & Furious" movie is set to star Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, Michelle Rodriguez, and WWE superstar John Cena, among others. It is currently filming and is slated for release on May 22, 2020.
The No. 2-ranked heavyweight is coming off three straight first-round knockouts and is in line to face the winner of Saturday's title clash between champion Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic at UFC 241.
The Cameroonian-French Ngannou follows in the footsteps of Ronda Rousey, who appeared in "Furious 7."
