Dan Hooker is getting what he wants.
Hooker vs. Al Iaquinta has been verbally agreed upon for UFC 243, multiple sources told ESPN's Ariel Helwani.
After knocking out James Vick in under three minutes in San Antonio on July 20, Hooker challenged anyone in the lightweight division to fight him at the fall event.
Shortly thereafter, Iaquinta hinted at accepting the challenge on Twitter. A week later, Hooker accused Iaquinta of turning down the fight, which the American denied.
Iaquinta is coming off a loss by unanimous decision to Donald Cerrone in May.
UFC 243 will take place on Oct. 5 at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
