White (14-8), the England native who was making his promotion debut, took the fight on less than two weeks' notice after coming over from Cage Warriors riding a four-bout winning streak.
Magny (21-6) has now won two straight fights and said he'll donate $15,000 of his purse from Sunday to 1-year-old Presley Mae, who has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disease. Magny also called out Kamaru Usman in his post-win interview after the quick bout.
White didn't start at the frantic pace many expected, pushing Magny up against the fence instead of looking for a takedown. A low blow by Magny forced the referee to separate the fighters, but White pushed the fight back against the cage before ending up in bottom position on the mat.
Magny found an opening in the final minute, landing a knee to White's head in the clinch and pouring on the pressure with ground strikes to secure the victory.
