Ortiz last fought against Chael Sonnen at Bellator 170, winning via submission (rear-naked choke) in January 2017.

Although Ortiz clearly wants to face Liddell, his manager George Prajin confirmed to MMA Junkie that no deal has been reached between the two combatants.

Liddell last fought in June 2010 and hasn't won a mixed martial arts fight since defeating Wanderlei Silva at UFC 79 in December 2007.
