Amanda Ribas' UFC stint was derailed before it started.
The Brazlian strawweight has accepted a two-year suspension from the USADA after testing positive for anabolic agent ostarine in an out-of-competition sample collected June 7, 2017, the UFC's anti-doping partner announced Wednesday.
The two-year ban - the maximum penalty related to non-specified substances for first-time offenders - expires June 7, 2019.
Ribas' violation of the agency's anti-doping policy came one month prior to what would have marked her first walk to the Octagon opposite Juliana Lima at "The Ultimate Fighter 25" finale. She was pulled from the card and replaced by Tecia Torres as a result. The 24-year-old hasn't fought since May 2016.
