Woodley says Diaz bout '50 percent done' for UFC 219; report claims otherwise
Tyron Woodley is waiting for Nate Diaz to meet him halfway.
In a Thursday appearance on TMZ's "The Hollywood Beatdown," the UFC welterweight champion claimed he's agreed to face Diaz at UFC 219 - a card without a main event - on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, although the Stockton scrapper has yet to sign on the dotted line.
Woodley's assessment the matchup was "50 percent done" conflicts with a Thursday report from MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani, who claims a potential fight with Diaz is "far from finalized." The UFC has reportedly revived talks of a women's featherweight title bout between reigning queen Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm instead, one week after negotiations had reached a standstill - hence the recently posited tilt between Woodley and Diaz.
According to Helwani, bout agreements have not yet been issued for Cyborg versus Holm.
