Former NFL defensive end Greg Hardy is off to a good start in the second stage of his career as a dual-sport athlete.

Hardy won his mixed martial arts debut with a knockout of opponent Joe Hawkins just 32 seconds into the first round of an amateur heavyweight bout at Rise of a Warrior in Fort Pierce, Fla.
