"Baby Slice" will look to push his record above .500 when Bellator MMA takes the Emerald Isle.
Kevin Ferguson Jr. - son of the late Kimbo Slice - will face Fred Freeman in a 165-pound catchweight bout at Bellator 187 on Nov. 10 at 3Arena in Dublin, the promotion announced in a Thursday release.
The 25-year-old made his debut in four-ounce gloves last November at Bellator 165, where he was submitted in the second round by Aaron Hamilton. He's since rebounded with his first victory as a pro, a first-round TKO of DJ Griffin at Bellator 179 this past May.
According to the release, the unheralded Freeman meets Ferguson Jr. with a professional record of 1-0 and nine amateur fights under his belt.
Bellator 187 will be headlined by a featherweight tilt between undefeated prospect AJ McKee - a Team Bodyshop stablemate of Ferguson's - and Brian Moore. It was booked after James Gallagher pulled out of the original closer vs. Jeremiah Labiano, with a knee injury.
