Rousey teases potential wrestling foray in WWE appearance

It appears Ronda Rousey will be gracing the squared circle before she ever re-enters the cage.

The former women's bantamweight champion teased a pro wrestling foray in a segment for the WWE published on Monday. In it, Rousey and longtime training partners Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir were confronted by WWE superstars Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley after singing MMA fighter-turned-pro wrestler Shayna Baszler's praises, with Rousey challenging the trio to throw down anytime, anywhere.

"You name the time, you name the place," Rousey said. " … Oh, not today? We’re waiting to hear from you."

Rousey, Duke, Shafir, and Baszler were once known as the Four Horsewomen, also the name of a WWE stable comprising Lynch, Bayley, Flair, and Sasha Banks. According to MMA Fighting's Marc Raimondi, the rumor mill has the pair of quartets potentially squaring off at Survivor Series in November, with Rousey and Duke already training for a transition to the squared circle.

The former UFC champ made an appearance at Wrestlemania two years ago and has all but retired from cage fighting, keeping her public appearances to a minimum since falling to Amanda Nunes by 48-second knockout in her return from a 13-month layoff at UFC 207.
