Mayweather to net $100M, McGregor earning $30M guaranteed in superfight
"The Money Fight" is lining its competitors' pockets accordingly.
Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will net fight purses of $100 million and $30 million, respectively, for Saturday's superfight in Las Vegas, according to a document MMA Fighting's Marc Raimondi obtained from the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Friday.
The disclosed payouts will only prove a fraction of what the fighters will deposit, as both are primed for a cut of a buyrate expected to surpass a combat sports record of 4.6 million pay-per-views set by Mayweather's 2015 superfight opposite Manny Pacquiao. The pugilist and the UFC lightweight champion have previously claimed they'll net $300M and $100M, respectively.
McGregor's highest disclosed UFC payout came in his rematch with Nate Diaz at UFC 202, where he made $3 million.
