Report: Ex-UFC fighter Terry Etim hospitalized after violent traffic incident
Eleven-fight UFC veteran Terry Etim has been hospitalized after reportedly throwing himself into traffic during a bizarre scene in his home city of Liverpool, England, per the Liverpool Echo.
According to eye witness accounts Wednesday, the 31-year-old Etim was seen running into traffic and intentionally colliding with several moving vehicles. He was described as being covered in blood after the incident.
Police arrived on the scene to restrain Etim and transport him to hospital, where he is reportedly in serious condition.
No reason has been provided yet for Etim's actions.
The lightweight compiled a 6-5 record inside the Octagon before being released in February 2013. He competed for Bellator the following November, defeating Patrick Cenoble by unanimous decision in what was his last professional bout to date.
