Dana White isn't banking on one of the UFC's most proven draws fighting again.
When Brock Lesnar returned from a four-and-a-half-year hiatus to fight Mark Hunt at July's UFC 200, it may have signaled both a comeback and a farewell at the same time. Lesnar defeated Hunt, but the result was later overturned into a no-contest when Lesnar tested positive for banned substances in a pair of drug tests.
At 39 years old with plenty of mileage on his body from collegiate wrestling, mixed martial arts, and a long working relationship with the WWE, Lesnar could be nearing the end of his athletic endeavors. White isn't optimistic about the possibility of Lesnar showing up in the Octagon anytime soon.
"I doubt it," White told TMZ Sports. "I don't know how much longer he's got with the WWE, I think his career is winding down. But he's a freak of nature, who knows? Maybe he'll give me a call and say he wants to do it again but I think he's ready to ride off into the sunset."
Lesnar was handed a one-year suspension for his drug violations and isn't be eligible to compete in MMA until July 2017. He won the UFC heavyweight championship in November 2008 and would successfully defend it twice. His professional record stands at 5-3 with one no-contest.
